Remember Apocalypse a helicopter-based shoot ’em up inspired by Choplifter. Published by Virgin in 1994, developed by Miracle Games, and running on Amiga OCS. Apocalypse is a tough game. For example, in the first level a giant gun will quickly destroy your helicopter if you don’t take it out as soon as possible. With only five levels it’s not a long game. You must enter the jungle fortress of an evil dictator and take out his forces single-handedly. Also rescue as many POWs as possible. The levels scroll horizontally, and feature 32-colour multi-level parallax graphics. Enemies include tanks, helicopters, watch-tower patrols and howitzers. So if you are bored today give it a try, you can download the ADF files and enjoy a good classic! (3 disks)
