Generation Amiga: Hello Patrick. Can you introduce yourself to our readers? How did you discover the Amiga platform?

Patrick Nevian: Hi! My name is Patrick Nevian and live and work in Germany, i am music producer, pianist and sound engineer… And I discovered the Commodore Amiga back in 1990 in a store. „Shadow of the Beast“ was presented on a TV and it blew me away.

Generation Amiga: When did you started working on RESHOOT,Tales of Gorluth and what motivated you?

Patrick Nevian: I started with the first part of „Tales of Gorluth“ in January 2013. I wanted to produce my own Action Adventure for the Amiga since the late 90s but my programming skills are pretty bad. I discovered Backbone some years ago and so I tried to realise my action adventure visions with it. It was hard work but in the end it was rated as the best 68k Amiga game of 2014. So I started to work on a sequel which is now available. My work for Reshoot began at the end of its production. I did the layout stuff for the box, CD and booklet. Please visit www.amiworx.de for more info about all my Amiga related stuff.

Generation Amiga: Can you tell us more about the band Blue metal Rose

Patrick Nevian: BMR is my Indie Pop band project. My wife Alice performs all the songs and we´re currently working on our 4th album called „Love an Fear“. Check out our new single „Why Anna“. Music producers Chris Huelsbeck and Barry Leitch also produced awesome remixes for us. Please visit our official website.

Generation Amiga: What is your favorite programming language and why?

Patrick Nevian: I love using Backbone. It´s not a programming language but it has so much great features to offer. It´s a cool toolkit!

Generation Amiga: Can you tell us more about upcoming Amiga projects?

Patrick Nevian: Tales of Gorluth II was hard work but I´m happy to go on with „Oh no! More Aliens“; an Alien Breed/Commando clone which I´m producing for the ARES Computer. I´d like to finish the Gorluth Trilogy but this time I need to kickstarter such an enormous project…we´ll see if this is going to happen some time soon.

Generation Amiga: What are your Amiga configurations?

Patrick Nevian: I´m mainly using an A1200/030 and a CD32.

Generation Amiga: What is your opinion about upcoming Amiga systems ? (X5000, A1222)

Patrick Nevian: I have not  interest in next-gen Amigas but I appreciate the hard work people put into this new products.

Generation Amiga: What are your prefered modern AmigaOS4 games and programs?

Patrick Nevian: I am a big fan of Commodore Amiga Classic. So 68k only. 😉
