The legendary Commodore brand is still very popular and most wanted by companies. In this case Commodore Business Machines Ltd. located in Great Britain and best know for it’s new Android smartphone Commodore Leo tried to apply for an European Commodore trademark. The Italian CEO and founder Massimo Canigiani hoped to be successful with his application because his business is aimed towards a different market, however the owner of the original trademark successfully appealed against the application. Commodore Business Machines, Inc. was founded in 1954 in Toronto as the Commodore Portable Typewriter Company by Jewish immigrant and Auschwitz survivor Jack Tramiel.
