Hyperion entertainment CVBA proudly announced a new SDK update for AmigaOS. The SDK will be presented and released during AmiWest 2017, the biggest Amiga computer show in North America. The focus is on updating the GCC compiler on up to be able to build binaries for the AmigaOne X5000 and upcoming AmigaOne A1222 models as well as previous AmigaOS targets. The upcoming A1222 is able to perform very well and offers a very good computer experience. The specifications of the upcoming AmigaOne A1222 are the Freescale QorIQ P1022, 1.2GHz, 32-bit, e500V2, dual-core PPC CPU 64-bit DDR3 SODIMM 400MHz interface supporting up to 8GB RAM. 2x SATA 2.6 compliant controllers 2x external and 2x internal USB ports 2x RGMII Ethernet PHYs each providing Gbit Ethernet x4 PCIe gen 1 link allows data rates of 2.5Gbps per lane x16 PCIe connector to support Radeon HD graphics cards with 24-bit HDMI LCD interface and HDMI 1.3 support (secondary to Radeon) Audio codec generating stereo audio out from I2S digital audio Support for user GPIOs and JTAG Micro-SD card for ROM and possibility’s of running the whole system from the micro-SD card! The A1222 will also be able to run MorphOS and Linux. Release is expected in Winter 2017.
