A very devoted Commodore Amiga fan has started successful negotiations with Elon Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) to launch his Commodore Amiga 500 into space. The Commodore Amiga 500 will be completely modified and will have a layer of gold to prevent space radiation and other hostile space hazards destroying the Commodore Amiga 500. The total costs of this project would be about $ 250,000. The Commodore Amiga 500 was officially released during October 1987 in the United States of America and started the beginning of new era in home computing. It amazed the American public with it’s graphics and sound capabilities and all of this for a very reasonable price compared to the Commodore Amiga 1000. Compared with most Apple’s and IBM & compatibles of that time the Commodore Amiga 500 had it all. The original Amiga 500 proved to be Commodore’s best-selling Amiga model and sales went up to 6,000,000 units worldwide and is still being widely used by Amiga and retro computing lovers. The launch will probably be on April fools day in 2019 🙂
