Atari is spearheading a €105.3 million gaming-themed hotel in downtown Phoenix, Arizona—equivalent to $124 million at current exchange rates—marketed as the world’s first “playable hotel” where every corner immerses guests in interactive retro gaming vibes. Fans eager to get involved can invest as little as €425 through a unique community funding approach, with construction slated to kick off in 2026 and doors opening by late 2028. Picture an 11-story tower rising at 840 N. Central Avenue near the vibrant Roosevelt Row arts district, spanning 8,361 to 10,973 m² with sleek retro-futuristic styling drawn from Atari icons like Asteroids, Pong, and Tetris, blended with nods to Tron and Blade Runner for that nostalgic sci-fi edge. Inside, 72 rooms and 19 suites pay homage to Atari’s 1972 launch year, featuring high-tech guest quarters, specialized creator suites, and a lavish 372 m² penthouse Baller Suite complete with a private pool and spa oasis. Intersection Development leads the charge, licensing Atari’s legendary brand rather than building directly, and they’ve already secured €11.9 million of the total budget, now chasing €29.7-€34 million more via Regulation A Tier 2 equity raises open to the public. Entry-level stakes at €425 unlock loyalty perks, VIP event access, exclusive merchandise, and even digital “bricks” etched into the lobby floor, while bigger investments bring virtual tours, pre-sale tickets, and potential returns tied to ownership in the land, structure, and attractions.
