In this section you can download all important AmigaOS applications and games based on the PowerPC architecture. Most software will require AmigaOS 4.0 or AmigaOS 4.1 and could require additional software such as ‘software enhancer’ or SDL packages. The list is in alphabetical order and the software is stored on our own server for preservation reasons. If you are developer and have noticed one of your software titels and want it removed please contact us.

1941 Deluxe Extreme is a shooter which is based on the KETM (Kill Everything That Moves). The goal is to shoot down enemy airplanes and collect weapon power-ups (POW). The game uses a vitality system instead of life system in which if the player is hit, it loses one point of vitality and the player is destroyed if hit with 0 vitality then the player is given the option to continue. The famous Blender 3D package is available for AmigaOS 4.1. Blender is a professional free and open-source 3D computer graphics software product used for creating animated films, visual effects, art, 3D printed models, interactive 3D applications and video games. Blender’s features include 3D modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, raster graphics editing, rigging and skinning, fluid and smoke simulation,particle simulation, soft body simulation, sculpting, animating, match moving, camera tracking, rendering, video editing and compositing. Celestia is a famous space simulation that’s been around for many years. It’s one of the best free tools available and it can be used by beginners and experts alike. Celestia always opens with a view of Earth, in real time. This is the most important aspect, the fact that it’s a real-time simulation. Everything orbits, moves, and happens in real time, with the benefit of being able to increase, decrease, and even go back in time. Users can also search for various objects, but they are also listed in the ascending order based on the distance from Earth. By default, Celestia only comes with a limited number of items, a few thousands, but it can be greatly enhanced with the help of add-ons. Click here to download.

With ClipGrab, you can easily save your favourite videos from sites like YouTube, Dailymotion or Vimeo. And you can convert these videos into “usable” formats like WMV, MPEG or MP3. This means, you will finally be able to watch (or listen to) your favourite YouTube clips wherever you are, whenever you want and on any device you like. Free Space 2 for AmigaOS 4.x. This glossy sequel to Volition’s Freespace: The Great War sets itself apart with epic battles, a story-driven campaign, non-stop action and cool explosions. The horror conspiracy game Gorky 17 is a really good game. You play as a team dispatched to Russia to find out what happened there. However, when you get there, you notice ultimate chaos and destruction, along with what was called – mutants. People have transformed into creepy looking killing monsters. Gimp is a powerful open-source application for designing graphics and documents for web or print. If you have ever used Photoshop you will feel immediately at home using Gimp. Gimp is essentially Photoshop on a free budget and is not only ideal for students, but for businesses of all size as the feature-set is practically identical to Photoshop. Gimp requires AmiCygnix installed. Hurrican is a sequel to the games Turrican and Turrican II and is developed and created by the nice guys at POKE 53280. Turrican was first released in 1989 for the Commodore 64 and at once had a lot of fans. A port of Homeworld for AmigaOS 4.x and AmigaOne computers. A massive space journey awaits you in this epic space strategy game. The story behind Homeworld’s campaign borrows quite a bit from Battlestar Galactica. The people of the planet Kharak have spent the last 250 years constructing a giant mothership in which a half-million members of the population will attempt the voyage to their ancient and very distant homeworld of Hiigara. Homeworld tells the story of this journey in the form of a real-time strategy game. While at its core it maintains the classic build, manage, and destroy real-time strategy (RTS) formula, it does so with presentation, setting, and gameplay elements that combine to form a completely original gaming experience. Jagged Alliance 2 is a squad focused turnbased strategy game with (slight) roleplaying elements that did a lot right and very little wrong. In what it does it is – up to now – unequalled. You are the leader of a band of mercenaries that are hired by Arulco’s ex-President Enrico Chivaldori to re-take this fictious third world country from the hands of Deidranna Reitman  who turned it into a vicious totalitarian dictatorship. You start the game by creating your own personal mercenary and hire additional mercenaries to join your squad. Jedi Outcast is set some nine years after the events from the previous game and stars Kyle Katarn, a Han Solo-type character who gave up his role as a Jedi to pursue a more serene existence as a hired mercenary. Getting sent to a remote installation on behalf of the New Republic, Kyle faces off with a rogue Dark Jedi and quickly gets tangled up with the Empire as well, forcing him to renew his long dormant skills as a Jedi. Lincity is a city and country simulation game, similar in concept to SimCity The player can develop a city by buying appropriate buildings, services and infrastructure. The simulation considers population, employment, basic water management and ecology, goods, raw materials, services, energy and other constraints such as finance, pollution and transports. Various indicators are provided, with mini maps or statistics. The player has to take care of population growth and various socio-economic balances. Lincity can be won in two ways: reaching sustainable development, or evacuating the entire population with spacecraft. Click here to download Lincity.

MACE is a classic space shoot ’em up, inspired by the legendary Amiga games of this genre. Handdrawn 2D graphics in HD resolutions, parallax scrolling, explosion effects and optimized games mechanics, combined with the proven gameplay are transporting the “Spirit of Amiga” in today’s age. The MACE, or the Military Alliance of Common Earth, was founded after the first alien invasion of Earth in 2054. The famous Metal slug has been ported to AmigaOS 4.x . The gameplay of the series is characteristic of run and gun games: large numbers of enemies and a player character with extremely powerful weapons. In most run and guns, contact with an enemy leads to annihilation. The player starts with only a simple handgun; as the game progresses, the player may pick up new weapons. The player can only use one weapon at a time. When a new weapon is found, it replaces the previous one. Similarly, when ammunition runs out, the player reverts to using the handgun, which has unlimited ammunition. Click here to download.

Neverball is part puzzle game, part action game, and entirely a test of skill. The current version of Neverbal features over 140 challenging levels divided into six sets. Bonus levels can be unlocked by playing “challenge” mode. Neverball also supports mouse, keyboard, gamepad and joystick input. You’ll need your skills to make sure your ball doesn’t just roll off the edge, hit a barrier or simply run out of control. Nexuiz is a fast paced 3D deathmatch game project created online by a team of developers called Alientrap. The first version was released May 31st 2005, released entirely GPL and free over the net, a first for a project of its kind. Since then it has been downloaded over 1.5 million times, and the game is still being updated and developed, currently at version 2.5 and new releases being developed. Nexuiz is primarily multiplayer (though it includes a full single-player campaign, which allows one to play through the various multiplayer game types and maps with bots), and allows for hosting and joining of games. Pang is a great Commodore Amiga classic and is now optimized for AmigaOS4.x. There are 50 stages at 17 locations: Mt. Fuji, Mt. Keirin, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Angkor Wat, Ayers Rock, the Taj Mahal, Leningrad, Paris, London, Barcelona, Athens, Egypt, Kenya, New York, Maya ruins, Antarctica, and finally Easter Island. Each location has a unique background that shows the area’s most famous landmarks. Prism2.device is a SANA-II network driver for 11Mbps wireless Ethernet cards based on the Prism II chipset and variants. It supports PCMCIA cards in the A1200/A600 and PCI cards in all AmigaOS 4 systems. This version of prism2.device supports WPA and WPA2 encryption, including both TKIP and CCMP (AES) encryption modes. Few computer games have generated the kind of anticipation that Quake 2 has, but that’s no surprise. The new released ‘Quake 2 HD’ with improved HD textures, render effects and SDL audio engine for AmigaOS4 gave it a new life and meaning. Being the progeny of one of the most advanced first-person shooters out there, one could only expect a product several orders of magnitude more entertaining. Quake III Arena does not have a plot-based single-player campaign. Instead, it simulates the multiplayer experience with computer controlled players known as bots. The game’s story is brief – the greatest warriors of all time fight for the amusement of a race called the Vadrigar in the Arena Eternal.The introduction video shows the abduction of such a warrior, Sarge, while making a last stand.  To play, you need the latest version of the Quake 3 data files (retail version plus all patches). Smokin’ Guns is a first-person shooter video game. Smokin’ Guns is intended to be a semi-realistic simulation of the American Old West’s atmosphere and was developed on id Software’s Quake III Arena Engine. Gameplay as well as locations are inspired by Western movies, particularly those from the Spaghetti western genre. Smokin’ Guns’s codebase is free and open source software, distributed under the terms of the GPL; it is built upon ioquake3, an upgrade of the original Quake III engine. Click here to download.

A new enhanced version of Sonic Robo Blast 2 for AmigaOS 4.x. The new release comes with many improvements and bugfixes and comes with the new 2-players mode on the same screen. Sonic Robo Blast 2 is a 3D Sonic the Hedgehog fangame built using a modified version of the Doom Legacy source port of Doom. SRB2 is closely inspired by the original Sonic games from the Sega Genesis, and attempts to recreate the design in 3D. Hardware-accelerated video via OpenGL is available. smTube is the most popular YouTube downloader for AmigaOS4 with an established reputation. It lets you download YouTube videos, so you can watch them whenever you want. While the design is quite plain, and there aren’t many features, this application gives you exactly what you want when you want it. Star Trek: Voyager – Elite Force is a first-person shooter video game developed by Raven Software and published by Activision. The game is set in the Star Trek universe, specifically relating to the fourth Star Trek television series, Star Trek: Voyager. The dates in the game place Elite Forces plot late in Voyagers sixth season. The player assumes the role of Ensign Alex Munro, a member of the Hazard Team, a new elite security section created to deal with particularly dangerous and hostile away missions. The game’s plot focuses on the USS Voyager being trapped in a starship graveyard, heavily damaged and under attack from a variety of hostile factions. The Hazard Team is tasked with protecting Voyager as repairs are made, and investigating the cause of their entrapment. Speed Dreams features several different racing modes; while some offer greater customization than others, most generally try to reproduce real types of races.Complex events, such as various categories of championships or endurance races, are also available. Timberwolf is an AmigaOS web browser based on Firefox/Mozilla technology. This technology is more than just a browser, it is an enabling technology, bringing powerful tools such as html5, WebM, JavaScript, XUL, and more to AmigaOS 4.x. Tremulous is a free and open source team-based first-person shooter with real-time strategy elements. The game features two opposing teams: humans and aliens. Each team must attack the enemy’s base and team members while defending their own base. Tremulous is a first-person shooter with elements of real time strategy. Each team must construct and defend a base, consisting of structures which aid the players in some way. During a match, players may attack the enemy, or maintain the base and construct new structures. Humans utilize various weapons, armor and other upgrades, while aliens may evolve into more powerful classes, each of which possesses unique abilities. Requirement: 3D Card with Warp3D support and libboostygfx. Warzone 2100, from Eidos Interactive and Pumpkin Studios, marks a slight deviation from the formula, emphasizing action over strategy and combat over base micromanagement. Impressive in some areas yet lacking in others, Warzone 2100’s highly navigable 3D engine, unique campaign structure, and multiplayer gameplay should please most real-time AmigaOne strategy fans. In the year 2085, the system designed to protect North America from nuclear warfare malfunctions. Instead of defending against an assault, the NASDA satellite system launches a first attack against the major cities around the world, and targeted countries soon retaliate against North America with their own set of missiles. Zed (or just Z) was a game featuring area conquering, weird red and blue robots and strange game mechanics that got really popular back in the 90’s. The game was released back in 1996 and it was a RTS that involved robots fighting other robots in various worlds and it didn’t came with any specific plot or back-story it was just a pure RTS, you would get in and either got out victorious or beaten. The game was released in two formats, one in MS-DOS and another with more missions and an editor on Win 95 and also released for the Playstation 1.
