The Kickstarter campaign by David John Pleasance for his new upcoming book ‘Commodore: The Inside Story’ is a huge success  with over £ 36,705 and still 13 days to go. David John Pleasance just announced that A-Eon technology is sponsoring his project and will offer the upcoming AmigaOne A1222 computer system to one lucky pledger! The book will be a genuine insider’s view of what happened to Commodore on a worldwide basis during the tumultuous years from 1983 right through to 1994 when Commodore International declared Bankruptcy and to August 1995 when Commodore UK finally ceased trading. The AmigaOne A1222 is based on a Freescale QorIQ P1022 32-bit e500v2 dual-core PowerPC processor.  The system will offer gigabit Ethernet and two SATA 2.6 controllers, as well as two internal and two external USB ports, and the x16 PCIe connector supports RadeonHD cards, which are the general target graphics boards for AmigaOS 4.x. There’s on-board sound and basic HMDI 1.3 graphics output up to 1080. You can fund his project on, the book and AmigaOne A1222 will be released in winter 2017.
