Still got an old Commodore Amiga 1200 and want to upgrade it with latest Kickstart Roms? This DIY video from Youtube vlogger ‘MonkeySpaz5000’ will show you how to get get started. You can purchase Kickstart roms ( v40.68 ROM chips) on the webstore of AmigaKit for just 16,67 euros. Kickstart is the bootstrap firmware of the Amiga computers developed by Commodore. Most Amiga models were shipped with the Kickstart firmware stored on ROM chips. Its purpose is to initialize the Amiga hardware and core components of AmigaOS and then attempt to boot from a bootable volume, such as a floppy disk. (image courtesy of MoneySpaz5000)
