Hyperion Entertainment announced a new upcoming update for AmigaOS 3.1 during Amiga32 in Germany. The new update will be released with several bugfixes and optimized 68060 support. The update will also include a new version of DiskDoktor, a replacement for the CD file system, and CrossDos will also supports long file names in FAT32, FAT24 and FAT16. The new CrossDOS and CDFS will also be multi-threaded in the new upcoming release. AmigaOS 3.1 is still commercial available and holds the record of being the longest selling operating system in the world. Release and price are TBA.
