AmiCygnix is a unix environment for AmigaOS 4. It is not an emulation, all programs are native binaries. AmiCygnix offers only some things like the typical unix path tree and a Unix like data structure. Using the X-Server and the X11 libraries, some of the Unix GUI toolkits were ported: GTK+ 1, GTK+ 2 and GTK+ 3, wxWidgets 2.8, FLTK, OpenMotif and Athena Widgets. This makes porting Unix software to AmigaOS 4 much easier. There is also a extension package for AmiCygnix. Contains among other things the web browser Netsurf and the file manager ROX-Filer. Additionally several preference editors for the AmiCygnix desktop are included. This release is basically a bugfix release. Bugs in the display drivers and in the X server binary made it impossible to work with AmiCygnix, if you have installed a newer graphics card. This is fixed now.
