New Tomb Raider games set for 2026 and 2027 release

Great news for Tomb Raider fans — Lara Croft is officially making her comeback! Amazon Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics have announced two brand-new Tomb Raider games, hitting shelves in 2026 and 2027. It looks like the legendary explorer is ready to take us on another round of epic adventures. Launching in 2026, Legacy of Atlantis reimagines Lara’s original 1996 adventure with next-gen visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5. Expect sprawling tombs, deadly traps, mysterious puzzles, and maybe even a few dinosaur encounters. It’s designed to capture the magic of the classics but with all the polish and gameplay features of modern action games. Then in 2027, we’re getting Tomb Raider: Catalyst, a brand-new story that’s said to push the series in bold new directions. From what’s been teased, this one brings back Lara’s iconic dual pistols, lots of acrobatics, and the kind of cinematic action sequences that made the reboot trilogy so popular. mazon Game Studios’ VP Christoph Hartmann said this collaboration with Crystal Dynamics is about “telling new stories with heart-pounding gameplay.” With Amazon backing the project and a top-tier developer leading the charge, it looks like Lara Croft’s future is in very good hands.
