Krikkz’s EverDrive GBA Pro: premium features for authentic GBA play

Krikkz has launched the EverDrive GBA Pro, a premium flash cartridge enhancing the original Game Boy Advance experience with modern conveniences like save states and gyro support. Announced on December 23, 2025, it sold out in under a day, highlighting strong demand among retro gaming enthusiasts. On the official X channel Krikkz announced that “At the moment, I can’t estimate the production date for the next batch of cartridges. As soon as we receive confirmation from component suppliers, we will open preorders for the next batch. I hope we’ll be able to open preorders in January and start shipping in February.” The Pro model supports up to 98 save states via an in-game menu, ideal for tough GBA titles, and includes tilt, light, and gyroscope sensors for games utilizing these inputs. A tunable real-time clock addresses time-based issues in games like Pokémon, while cheat codes use mGBA format, menu customization, and rapid ROM loading improve usability. It also plays NES, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color ROMs from an SD card. Designed for legally procured ROMs, the EverDrive GBA Pro preserves GBA, NES, and Game Boy libraries on authentic hardware, blending nostalgia with enhanced functionality.
