Flat2VR released a free VR mod for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, enabling PC players to experience the full game in virtual reality through the Cemu Wii U emulator. The mod delivers fully stereo-rendered visuals with 6DOF tracking and complete hand and arm support, allowing players to wield weapons, torches, and even Bokoblin arms in combat. Gestures enable equipping items, throwing weapons, and interacting with the environment to solve puzzles or start fires using motion controls. It leverages OpenXR for compatibility with major VR headsets like Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Meta Quest, and Windows Mixed Reality, though controller settings are optimized for Oculus Touch. Users need a Breath of the Wild Wii U ROM and the Cemu emulator; the mod itself is available via Flat2VR’s link and contains no game files.
