GQ2 Enhanced marks the final chapter in the Geo’s Quest journey

The much-anticipated GQ2 Enhanced — an updated and visually richer version of Geo’s Quest “In Search of Queen Lorraine” — is now officially completed and released by developer “G W I”. This marks a significant milestone in the Geo’s Quest series, bringing a fresh experience to fans of Amiga-era point-and-click adventures. GQ2 Enhanced is a revamped take on the original 16-color adventure, now featuring greatly upgraded graphics, smoother animations, and improved presentation, while preserving the core story and gameplay that fans appreciate. One of the biggest changes in the Enhanced release is the comprehensive overhaul of the game’s graphics. Most of the room backgrounds and close-ups — 83 out of 100 — have been redrawn or repainted by hand, using larger palettes (32 and 64 half-bright colors) to give scenes more depth and visual richness. Intro and ending sequences have received additional animation frames, giving actions like George’s entrance and exit more fluid and lifelike motion. These enhancements ensure a more immersive playthrough without changing the story’s pacing or structure. GQ2 Enhanced is available now as a downloadable title on itch.io, offered at a name-your-price model. The package includes the enhanced game and the updated manual addendum PDF.
