Wii U emulation may soon arrive on iPad with CEMU port in development

Wii U emulation could soon be making its way to the iPad, according to recent reports from TechJunkie on X. A developer known for working on the MeloNX Nintendo Switch emulator has begun experimenting with bringing the popular Wii U emulator CEMU to Apple’s iOS devices. While the project is still in the early stages, the idea of running Wii U games on an iPad has already generated a lot of excitement within the emulation community. CEMU is one of the most well-known and advanced Wii U emulators available. Originally released for PC, it allows users to run Wii U games by recreating the console’s hardware through software. Over the years, the emulator has seen major improvements in performance and compatibility, making it possible to play many Wii U titles smoothly on modern computers. Because of its reputation and stability, CEMU has become the go-to emulator for Wii U gaming outside of the original console. The new development focuses on porting CEMU to Apple’s iPad.
