Shadow Of The Ninja Is getting a remake for modern consoles

Natsume Atari Inc. and ININ have officially announced their next title, Shadow of the Ninja: Reborn, the game will be available on most consoles in Spring 2024. “Shadow of the Ninja” was originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1990, and is set in a dystopian future, the game follows two skilled ninja warriors, Hayate and Kaede, as they attempt to stop an evil emperor from taking over the world. Players can choose to play as either of the two ninjas, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles. The game is known for its tight and responsive controls, which are essential for navigating the challenging levels filled with enemies, traps, and obstacles. “Shadow of the Ninja” also featured a cooperative multiplayer mode, allowing two players to team up and tackle the levels together. This adds an extra layer of enjoyment, as players can strategize and coordinate their movements and attacks. One of the game’s standout features is its atmospheric soundtrack, which complements the ninja theme and adds to the overall immersive experience. The graphics are solid for the NES era, with detailed character sprites and environments. The new release will feature amazing 16-bit art style and simultaneous two-player co-op, much like its predecessor.
